Fabiyino (fah-bee-yee-nah) Germain-Bajowa is a writer, curator, and interdisciplinary artist based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax). Engaging diasporic archives of thought and memory passed down through oral history, food, and acts of care, she centres Afro-diasporic experience to build knowledge through her community based practice. She has curated programs such as "Tell the Body" for Vtape (Toronto), and "a language of bodies" for Vector Festival (Toronto). She earned her BFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice from OCAD University, where she was a research assistant with the Centre for the Study of Black Canadian Diaspora, and was recently accepted to the Dalhousie Art Gallery Curatorial Mentorship Program.
